Rescuers Give a Desperate, Homeless Mother Dog and Her Newborn Puppies a Second Chance at Life (VIDEO)

There are few feelings like the gratitude of a rescued, stray, new mother. One second they’re alone, exhausted, possibly without food and a way to keep their babies safe, and the next someone is helping them and taking them to a better place. One can almost see these animals smiling, relief flooding a stressed, overloaded system. Summer — as she would later be named — was all alone with her babies until Hope for Paws swept in and saved the day.

Summer and her babies’ journey will put a smile on your face. After her rescue and a clean bill of health from a vet, the family was moved into foster care where they are now surrounded by love. Where there might have been a tragedy before there is now one big, happy family.
